I have a pocket wifi router and I am wondering if I can just bring that with me to Japan, and just buy a sim card for it. What kind of sim card should i get for internet? and how much? are all wifi routers the same or is there a specific kind that i can only use with japan sim cards?

I'd like to visit Mt Fuji during new year time. I am wondering if any bus or shops around the area will be open on December 31?
