from arashiyama station(hankyu) to tenryu-ji temple?
can i purchase the bus pass in kawaramachi station(kyoto tourist information centre) by credit card?

Hi there,

Heian Shrine to Kiyomizu Temple, you don't to need to take bus, I guess.
Just get out from Heian Shrine and go down straight to the south, then you can find Kiyomizu Temple on your left.
It will take about 20 mins or so, but there are at least 3 famous and historical Temples/Shrines on the way.
Buses are operated for so many routes, come and go often, but sometimes it's hard to see which bus is what you want.
The ways in Kyoto is very simple as you can see it in the map.

I recommend, don't take bus if your destination is within 20 mins walk.
I bet it's worth.

hi,

1. Kawaramachi Sta.----Heian Shrine
take a bus at 四条河原町 bus Stop.(shijyou kawaramachi bus stop) to Okazaki Koen Rome Theater Bus Stop; and then 5 mins walk to Heian Shrine
2. Heian Shrine------Kiyomizudera Temple
back to Okazaki Koen Rome Theater Bus Stop, take 市营100 bus to Shimizumichi Bus Stop; and then 11 mins walk to Kiyomizu dera Temple;
3. Kiyomizudera Temple-----Kawaramachi Station
back to Shimizumichi bus stop, take 88B(四条山科醍醐线)bus to 四条河原町 bus Stop.(shijyou kawaramachi bus stop); and then walk back to Kawaramachi Station.
(you d better ask someone else for the exact bus you should take when you travel in Japan)

4. Arashiyama station(hankyu) ----- Tenryu-ji temple
I suggest you walk there. Just 15 mins.

In japan, no matter train or bus, they all come on time and like every 10 mins you can take a train or bus. Here are three link. Hope you can get more information you want.
