Hi there,

We were interested in visiting Mt. Fuji on Oct 14, and we'd like to go to 5th station if possible. However, while route map says the bus from Shinjuku to Mt. Fuji 5th Station operates from May through October, succeeding texts mention that the timetable for Shinjuku to Mt. Fuji 5th Station is only valid till August 31.

In this case, our question is: is it possible to book a bus to Mt. Fuji 5th Station from Shinjuku directly on Oct 14? Or do you suggest we head to Kawaguchiko station first and take a local bus from there?

Hi there,

The timetable for the direct bus from Shinjuku to Mt. Fuji Fifth Station will be changed after September 24th through November 4th.
After September 24th, the direct bus runs on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays only.
There are two buses for going to Mt. Fuji in the morning and two buses for coming back in the afternoon.
So, please take a bus to Kawaguchiko, then transfer to local bus to Mt Fuji 5th Station.
