I would suggest booking a round trip ticket from Shinjuku to Kawaguchiko from the link below.
http://highway-buses.jp/fuji/

And then, take a local bus from Kawaguchiko to Oshino Hakkai.
There are two types of buses which go to Oshino Hakkai.
