The tokyo/hakuba winter bus schedule does not seem to be available yet. I was wondering if there were typically blackout dates that the bus didn't operate, for example during christmas day or new year's eve?

Hi there,

The bus running between Shinjuku and Hakuba will operate on Christmas and New Year's Eve.
During the ski season, a night bus will start running. The timetable is not out yet, but you should be able to get it by the end of November.
According to the timetable from the last year, there will be two additional buses during the ski season.

Leave Shinjuku at 6:35am Arrive Hakuba Goryu at 11:36am
Leave Shinjuku at 11:05pm Arrive Hakuba Goryu at 5:32am

Please check the website again sometimes in November.
