Hello,
Thanks you so much for taking my question. I will be traveling to Tokyo in April. I would to do a day trip to Mt Fuji with my wife and 9 year old daughter. I have heard that it is lovely to bike around the base of the mountain however I am having a hard time finding information about where bike rental places are, do they have bikes for children and where in the region would be a fun, beautiful bike ride that a child with average biking skills can manage.

Any help you can offer for these questions is greatly appreciated!

Hi Allysen,

In April, the bus to Mt. Fuji 5th station is most probably not yet running due to the heavy snow.
So, I would recommend that you go to Kawaguchiko where you can see a beautiful scenery of Mt. Fuji by the Lake Kawaguchiko.
Actually, you can have a better view of Mt. Fuji from Kawaguchiko than from Mt. Fuji 5th station because 5th station is too close to Mt. Fuji.

By the way, in Kawaguchiko, there are so many outdoor activities available, including biking, canoeing and hiking.
As for the rental bike, please check the website below. There is a welcome center where you can rent a bike.
