Hi, my friends( 5-6 guests) and I will be going to KAWAGUCHIKO, OSHINO HAKKAI, & for the SHIBAZAKURA FESTIVAL. These are my questions and worries:
1. Is it hard to take a bus or taxi from OSHINO HAKKAI to KAWAGUCHIKO STATION?
2. Do I have to make a reservation for the bus going to SHIBAZAKURA FESTIVAL? Do I have to indicate the time in
going there and coming back?
3. Is it hard to get a bus going back to SHINJUKU?

You can answer to this question by registering as a member or signing in.

1. There are buses between Kawaguchiko Station and Oshino Hakkai. The ride takes about 23 minutes. For more information and a timetable see: https://www.japan-guide.com/bus/gotemba.html

You can also take a train to Fujisan Station and take a bus from there.

The train to Fujisan station takes 5 minutes and costs 210 yen.
Fujikyuko Line Fujisan station-->15 minutes by bus-->Get off at Oshino hakkai-->5 minutes on foot

2. You do not have to make a reservation but to ensure you get a seat it is recommended. You will be able to make reservation to the bus going to Shibazakura Festival on https://highway-buses.jp/ website about a month before the festival. On time of reservation you will have to specify the time you are going and coming back.
There is a bus liner from Kawaguchiko station that takes about 30 minutes. For more information see: http://www.shibazakura.jp/eng/access/
3. When you reserve a ticket on https://highway-buses.jp/ you can reserve a trip back to Shinjuku as well.

I hope this can help.
Best, Didi.
