We will be staying at Nikko for 2 nights (11 Oct-13 Oct). On 13 Oct we would like to travel to Kawaguchi-Ko (five lakes) for 2 nights. On 15 Oct. we would like to travel to Haneda Airport. What is the best way to travel from Nikko to Kawaguchi-Ko? Must we go back to Tokyo? Is it possible to hire a driver?

Hi there,

The fastest and easiest way to transfer from Nikko to Kawaguchiko is to go back to Shinjuku and take a highway bus from Shinjuku Expressway Bus Terminal to Kawaguchiko.

Otherwise, you will have to change trains and buses a couple of times, carrying all your luggage.
