Hi there. I am planning to visit a few places in Japan in 7 days. My route is Tokyo-Tayama-Shirakawago-Kyoto-Osaka. I plan to travel using Nohi bus for all of these destination except for Kyoto-Osaka.

I am wondering if there are better and cheaper options than using Nohi Bus?

Thank you

Hi there,

The other option would be using a Japan rail pass. However, the pass does not include transportation to Shirakawago, so you will need to use Nohi Bus anyway to go to Shirakawago.

The following is just an example, but take a Hokuriku Shinkansen from Tokyo to Kanazawa. Take Nohi Bus to go to Shirakawago from Kanazawa and Shirakawago to Takayama.
Take a JR Takayama Line(Hida Express) from Takayama to Nagoya.
Take a Shinkansen(Hikari or Kodama) from Nagoya to Kyoto.
Take a Shinkansen(Hikari or Kodama) from Kyoto to Shin-Osaka.
Take a JR Tokaido-Honsen from Shin-Osaka to Osaka.
