Hi,
I am looking for Discount connecting ticket to World Heritage Site Shirakawago round trip from Shinjuku-Takayama-SHirakwa-go in 23 Jan or 30 Jan 2016 for the light up event. I understand that the ticket from Takayama to Shirakawa-go can not be booked online. How can I ensure the availability of the same on the departure day as I know that the tickets get booked very quickly.
Please advise.

Let me clarify your question. Do you mean that you want to ensure your seat from Shinjuku to Takayama or a seat from Takayama to Shirakawa-go?
It is difficult to ensure your seat for the local bus to go to Shirakawa-go unless you use a tour organized by Nohi Bus.
