Ask or answer to the questions about traveling in Japan
Hi,
I would like to know if I have to reserve the Highway bus ticket in advance via online Plattform or if it is sufficient if I buy the ticket (for 4 People) just before entering the bus.
we would like to travel in March (between 21-24) - depending on the weather from Shinjuku to Kawaguchicko.

If you could read Japanese and have a credit card, you can pay and get the QR Code for boarding use on the Japanese site. I've done it last week and it's convenient since you are able to change your seats within the bus or swap to another bus on the same route on the same day.
If you don't have a credit card, not secure with Japanese, or prefer paying right before boarding, you could use the English site (which is a lot more simpler). Just input your details, remember the phone number you entered (you need to tell the counter staff the number in order to track your reservation for payment). Please be reminded to arrive at the bus terminal around 30 mins earlier, since payment must be settled at least 10mins before boarding, and you might have a line infront. (Therefore not recommended for 1st bus departing in the morning)
Hello. I strongly recommend you to reserve the tickets in advance. It is often fully booked. If I were you, I book the tickets on both 21st and 24th March. It would not cost the cancellation fee.
